Event Concept: Back in 2016, Roots Canada launched a new music-themed promotion called #SweatStyle. Teaming up with emerging artists in Toronto, #sweatstyle is a platform designed to celebrate "their unique voice and individuality," (AdNews).
On August 30, 2017, Roots hosted a SweatStyle event at The Broadview Hotel where artists Daniel Caesar, Jessie Reyez, Daniela Andrade and Ryland James, the faces of the 2017 campaign, performed live and interacted with event attendees. This live performance was a truly unique experience as Roots rented out a Toronto 504 Streetcar for the day and transformed it into a stage where Daniel and Jessie performed and took attendees on a quick ride in the east end of Toronto. Once the ride had commenced, attendees enjoyed performances by Daniela and Ryland on the rooftop of the newly renovated Broadview Hotel, snacks and drinks provided by the Roots team.
